Amazing GOOD NEWS for Elisa Banicki and her family - Updates April 2011

ITMI’s Polish Director, Piotr Zaremba writes:

Sunday, April 24, 2011

 Beloved,

This is today that we commemorate our Lord’s victory over the sin and death! Our Lord won! He is risen! Risen indeed!

Let me connect His resurrection with our Elisa Banicki, our sweet-heart with Niemann-Pick syndrome.

Elisa and Daria Banicki

Eliza and Daria Banicki

Ready for the news?

Polish National Ministry for Public Health accepted Zavesca, a medicine that stops the progress of the disease, for the national funding. This is true that Polish bureaucratic creativity can be unpredictable, but as it stands for now Eliza will get Zavesca free of charge for the next three years!

Christ won again! Life won again!

Thank you for the support we all contributed for. We will still need to support Eliza’s physiotherapy, but its cost, is not nearly as insurmountable as the cost of Zavasca.

An angel asked the ladies: Why do you seek the Living among the dead? What a humbling question for those who saw Him in action so numerous times. What about us? Well, we are still to be perfect, but at least in the case of Eliza were seeking the Living among the living, we desired to see Him at work. And we saw Him, rather than despearing at the empty tomb.

O, how I love you all. How great to be a Christian among such Brothers and Sisters.

Yours, as ever – Piotr

This is truly a great answer to prayer for the Banicki family and for Eliza’s precious little life. We rejoice and thank God for His provision.

Eliza’s physiotherapy provides additional benefit in slowing the progress of this disease, as well as improving her quality of life. ITMI will continue collecting funds for the physiotherapy as well as for Zavasca. Our new goal for this project is to have funds available for Eliza’s Zavasca, should the Polish National ministry change its policy or cease funding after this three year period. Their current provision gives us three years to collect funds so that she is provided for in the case that this current provision becomes unavailable.
