The Need
Poznan International University attracts students from all over the world. These students come to Poznan without friends or family and are actively looking for a way to connect with others. Because of this, there is a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel of Christ with them. Richard Nungesser, pastor of Poznan International Church (PIC), and his wife Brooke make time to minister to these students, providing them with a caring, family atmosphere in the church and in their home to worship God in a language they understand (English).
The Description
Poznan International Church (PIC) has been under the direction of ITMI missionary-pastor, Richard Nungesser, since 2002. It is not uncommon for the PIC to have 35-50+ attendees representing 12 different countries and speaking 16 native languages. Only one of the 7 continents, Antarctica, is not represented at PIC. Worship is usually done in English, but contains at least one Norwegian, Polish or Spanish song.
Although PIC is made up of students from around the world, many of whom have very little personal means, the church participates in supporting missions financially - such as the Bread of Life homeless ministry run by the Nungessers, as well as in supporting former members who have moved back to their native country and become missionaries.
Because of their strategic location near Poznan International University, God is enabling PIC to “send” college-level missionaries to many countries without having to deal with the time and expense of language and cultural training. With this goal in mind, PIC is developing a missionary training course for its church members, so that they are prepared to be missionaries in their respective home countries when they return.

Goals
- Teach students how to reach their unsaved friends for Christ.
- Train students to return to their home countries as missionaries.
Needs
- Funds to purchase English Bibles, or donations of used English Bibles and the costs of their shipment overseas.
- Audio equipment to be used for the PIC Sunday worship service.
- Short- and long-term missionaries to complete various projects for PIC.
Who’s Involved
- ITMI to provide oversight and U.S. awareness.
- ITMI European Director Piotr Zaremba to provide additional mentoring and oversight.
- K5N Church to provide fellowship as a sister Church in Christ.
- Bread of Life Ministries to encourage and provide serving opportunities.
