Greetings from AliciaHello dear friend, This semester started like a whirlwind. It has been great to be back at school among familiar friends and fellow students, but pretty soon I found out that this semester was not going to be as easy as I had thought it would be. Even so far, I have really been enjoying the classes. They have been challenging me spiritually as well as intellectually. I have been learning about early church history, the development of Christian missions, doing Hermeneutics, making videos and doing radio broadcasting. All of these about which I am really excited. At the same time, however, it is a challenge to stay up to date with all the reading and assignments for class. Unfortunately, I had a cold that went over into bronchitis about three weeks ago that caused a bit of a setback, but the Lord has been faithful. I have totally recovered and am starting to feel human again! You might be interested to know that Moody Campus Radio, which is run by the radio department’s students, will be broadcasting on the web shortly. I am under the impression that it will be from the first week in March. I will be doing the morning shift from eight to ten each Thursday. Of course, the target audience is college students, but if you are interested you can visit us at www.moodycampusradio.com I was able to go home and it was a wonderful time with my family and friends. It was just too short. But I am thankful to the Lord that I did have the opportunity to go. It was summer and South Africa is as beautiful as ever. My heart has been burdened with the problems and struggles South Africans are facing with crime and the AIDS crisis. It is with this burden on our hearts that the African students got together this semester and have been praying for our continent. We have been blessed to see other students join us on Monday nights at nine pm CST. So maybe as you remember you can pray with us for this needy continent. We have also just had our annual Founder’s Week conference. It was such a blessing. We had speakers like Stuart Brisco and George Verwer who spoke on "Prayer", which was the theme for this week and a theme requested by the students. I am excited to see what the Lord will do in the lives of the students here on campus in the future as a result of the conference. I would really appreciate it if you would pray with me about the rest of this semester. The workload is heavy. I also have to produce a video for my fundamentals of video class. If I think about it, it is easy to feel overwhelmed very fast. So I will covet your prayers for the rest of the semester and even into the summer as I am not quite sure I what will do yet. So I need wisdom for that. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that you keep well. Please let me know if there is anything I can pray for. God Bless! In His Grip,
