Suitable for Ministry - A StoryBeloved in Christ, Allow me to share the story. Once upon a time there was a retired Polish army officer. A gentleman in every bit. The way he cared (years ago) for his dying wife proved it beyond the shadow of doubts. Berieved, he kept being involved in missions. Once upon a time there was a woman with class. A lady in every bit. She never had a husband but prayed for one. Once upon a time there was a pastor’s car, 7 years old, for 7 people, suitable for ministry. And once upon a time there was a pastor. And pastors are quite unpredictable guys. He invited the officer with a heart for missions, and the lady with a heart for her future husband to join him on one of his mission trips to the city of Gniezno, Poland. And he arranged the seats in his car so that not to talk would be rude, unacceptable for ladies and gentlemen. How did he figure it out? These guys (pastors I mean) think at times... Well, my notes are always short. So, some time later the pastor got a phone call from the officer: "Pastor, thank you for taking me on this trip." How surprised the pastor was — he and his car: 7 years old, for 7 people, suitable for ministry. Last Saturday there was a wedding and stuff that was a ramifiaction of this mission trip, and now there is a honeymoon. But I am sharing this story because of this beautiful passage from Galatians 1:17. For, you know, even a pastor’s car may prove that in Christ the complex stories of the real people — like all other things — hold together. So, have fun. And if you are a retired officer (no matter which army) with a heart for missions, or a lady with a heart for missions (or whatever else, provided it is in the Lord), or if you would prefer a change from "7 years old, for 7 people, suitable for ministry" to "3 years old, for 7 people, suitable for ministry" you may contact the pastor through me. I have known him for years, an unpredictable guy. He will surely handle it all. Yours,
