Wondering Why Not to be First

Beloved in Christ,

Why Jesus had to be first in everything? (Colossians 1:18).
Sure it was not because of His pride.
So if it is possible to be first for legitimate reasons, why not to follow His example in spite of — and even through — the sufferings.
