Salvation and the TruthFor many today, our Heavenly Father is simply “The Man upstairs.” There is a vague idea that “He’s handy to have as a resource if there’s trouble and when that happens, I’ll give Him a call.” Their philosophy is, “Don’t call me, I’ll call You.” Sin is not an issue with them – the cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus Christ is irrelevant. Truth is, Jesus came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Mark 2:17 In this tolerant age it seems that society’s only remaining dogma is that dogmatism is not permitted. To assert that something is “truth” is to infer that the opposite is “error.” Zeal for the Truth has become politically incorrect. But Jesus Christ said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.” That’s pretty dogmatic. Believe it, or not – your eternal salvation depends on what you do with the Truth.
