Update from Piotr

Beloved,

Thank you so, so much for your prayers for us, and — these days — especially for my wife Krystyna.

As for the reasons that caused her infirmity — we still do not know them. She keeps being tested, but so far — no final conclusions.

After her last session at the clinic she applied some healthy life style to herself, i.e.: 9 p.m. in bed, avoiding stressful involvements, applying healthy diet (which is a subject in itself). Her condition seem to be improving. Praise God! She sleeps better (without taking sleeping pills), is more relaxed, started to get some physical exercise, and on Thursday she will be tested again. Because of the situation of Polish socialized medical care these tests -- as you probably noticed -- are quite far between. Obviously I will keep you informed. Krystyna’s spiritual condition throughout her difficult period (and even more now) has always been good. This is a true privilege to be able to share life with such a wonderful person. Although we do not know what is going on inside of her body, whatever it is, is either in a retraction OR is healed. Even more, praise God! And believe it or not, she is half way through adding the cross references to our new translation of the Gospel of Luke.

Concerning my father, his condition after a surgery is slowly improving. AND again, during our conversation, I was able to ask him directly: Do you believe that Jesus Christ is Your PERSONAL Savior?

With my ears I had him answer: Yes, I do. Well, I am happy. However, I am a pastor long enough to look for the fruits of verbal confessions. As a family we visited him last Saturday.

And as for me, I keep translating. The Book of Habakkuk was finished last Friday. Now I am studying all the Dead Sea scrolls containing portions or quotations of the Book of Habakkuk. Today we also spent couple of hours discussing with my daughter Karolina study notes on Micah. Moreover, I am reading ”Household Hints and Tips. 2000+ of Interesting Solutions and Creative Ideas” by Cassandra Kent.
