Water Rings Ripple in the Body of Christ

Leszek and Ania with text.jpg
ITMI partner, Leszek Wakula has a heart for the youth of Lodz, Poland. The plight of at-risk and street youth burdened him, and he began ministering to them through a Youth Club. The Youth Club was a safe place where street and at-risk youth could come for help with their homework, to build relationships with workers and participate in positive activities off the street.

Youth Club with text.jpgRecently, Leszek's church has undergone some changes, and he’s accepted the position of Sr. Pastor of his church, Bethesda Baptist. This has provided the opportunity for the whole church to have a greater ministry to street children through a Youth Club. The basement of the church was recently dedicated to the Youth Club and the ministry now has the added power of a church body behind it.

While in Lodz, Steve Evers, ITMI Director, met with Leszek and the leadership of his youth team. Steve shared with them about some of his travels in Africa, including the story of Samaritan Children’s Home, and how the Lord recently worked on their behalf, providing food for the children during a time of need. He also shared about one girl in particular, Memory, and how the Lord intervened on her behalf to provide the safety of a home at Samaritan Children’s Home for her. This example of God's provision to the needy greatly encouraged his audience in their current situations.

Water ripple sm.jpg When you prayed for John Jere and the children at Samaritan Children’s Home, you knew that if God provided, this would be a good thing for the children. But you didn’t know that later, God would use that gift, that prayer, to give again. This time, it was encouragement to a dedicated group of church leaders who were greatly uplifted by hearing of the Lord’s work on behalf of the children at Samaritan Children’s Home. This simply illustrates that when you give to the Lord, there is no limit to how many times your gift will keep on giving. There is always the direct positive effect on the specific cause to which you gave, but many times, there are ripple effects we might not even be aware of.
